JACA's Black Theatre Nucleus is based on the concept of Experimental Black Theatre created by Abdias do Nascimento and aims to problematize the reality of the black population of Salvador and, above all, of Cajazeiras, transforming the demands and problems faced by the community into theatrical art

The JACA Theater Nucleus is made up of 6 members, where through games and theater workshops, they allow themselves to create scenes and performances that instigate the population of Cajazeiras to think about the reality to which they are exposed, believing that art can be an ally in raising awareness and enhancing community involvement in cultural actions.

The members of the nucleus believe that art has a unique power to engage and mobilize the community. Through their performances, they seek to instigate the public to reflect on their own experiences and realities, encouraging greater participation in cultural actions in the area. In this way, the JACA Black Theater Center presents itself as a space of resistance and creativity, where the voice of the black population of Cajazeiras finds expression and power.
