Jude Mugerwa Lukwago is a music producer, composer and proprietor of the Pearl Rhythm Foundation and Pearl Rhythm Festival Uganda. His skills include studio music production, and as a musician he plays Keyboards, Guitar, Piano and trumpet. As a producer Jude Mugerwa’s work in music production has paved the way for clean crisp sound both in live mixes and studio production for top Ugandan music brands such as Kinobe Herbert, Suzan Kerunen, Maurice Kirya, Myk Ouma, Sarah Ndagire, Racheal Magoola, Soul Beat Africa, The Ganda Boys, Kenzo, Shifa Musisi, Iryn Namubiru, Juliana Kanyomozi, Jamal, Jackie Chandiru, UK based Sebi Ntege, Giovani kiyinji, Sammy Kasule and many more.

As a FOH sound engineer, his diligent touch and detailed mixing has been evident on platinum events such as the Annual Jazz Safari concerts Roast and Rhyme, Bayimba Festival, Fete De la musique, Francophonie, Bell Jams concerts, Blankets and wines, Pearl Rhythm Festival, the UNCC annual festival, crusades including for the Sahdguru in Fortpotal.
Jude Mugerwa started his training in music as a young boy back in seminary school in the year 1990 where he completed his secondary studies; He later proceeded to Makerere University. At
23 he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Arts majoring in Music and psychology. His early career life saw him work as a Program manager at the Lutheran media ministry till the year 2003 when he opted to get into full time music production business. He later toured with the all boy band, Soul Beat Africa as a keyboard player in 2007 with the support of Culture France where he got most of his early experience playing in 23 African countries. The band was later booked to tour in America and Canada in the year 2009 and 2010 respectively playing and engineering on grand festival stages like The International Festival de Louisiana, Winnipeg festival, LOTUS festival, LEAF festival, Chicago World Music Festival, Salmon Arms Roots and Blues festival, and with the Reggae band Jahcoustics in 2011 touring in Africa.

Jude Mugerwa has engineered on stages with notable names in the international music scene including legends such as Regina Bell, Marion Meadows, Gerald Albright, and Isaiah Katumwa with his most recent being at the FEMUA festival in Ivory coast as a FOH engineer for Joel Sebunjo.

Jude Mugerwa,s other strength can be felt in the current wave of mass choir live recordings such as, Christ the king church, Cherubim chamber choral, Rubaga church choir, Cachemco, Nsambya catholic church choir and many more. Jude Mugerwa has also facilitated several collaborative projects with both local and international artists and produced music that speaks to various themes and audiences. Jude Mugerwa is extremely skilled in many styles of music – classical, electronic, acoustic, rock, gospel, pop, and jazz. He brings a rhythmic and dynamic sensibility to the projects that he is a part of. His objective is to always support the artist’s growth and to add growth in an individual’s work... And his philosophy remains – “good music is good music”
