Sound artist, Researcher

A Colombian sound artist, he builds devices, spaces, and experiences for listening as a political/aesthetic/ritual act. His work focuses on sonic agencies rather than human ones, water, trees, rocks, among other living and vibrant materials. His main interests include recognizing nature as a silent victim of the armed conflict in Colombia, symbolic and sacred reparation of rivers and forests. As an arts agent, he promotes relational listening practices and communities of knowledge that contribute to the creation of interspecies and inter-being acoustic agreements. He researches the phenomena of geo-resonances, vibroacoustics, and acoustic restoration as a contribution to systemic intelligence and planetary well-being. He leads, along with his family, a cultural biocenter in the Sumapaz páramo in Colombia called "High Mountain Listening Station," a place for the production of knowledge, dialogue, and to pay tribute to the waters.
