Tiatete Gregoire Ihopu

Tiatete Ihopu is originally from the Tahuata island of Te Henua Enata (Marquesas Islands). He currently lives in the commune of Omoa in Fatu Iva. An author of poetry and songs in the Marquesan language, he is also an artist of traditional Marquesan art: sculpture, tattooing and Tapa drawings. A retired school teacher, Tiatete is passionate about his culture and sensitive to its preservation.
