The site building of the auditorium also doubling as a water reservoir for Joudour Sahara Music School has been in construction from the hot summer months through now and is on the way in M’Hamid in the South Sahara Morocco

This outdoor auditorium will be used at the music school for traditional heritage musicians and ensembles to come and perform at Joudour Sahara. It will serve as a cultural community center for M’Hamid El Ghizlane and the region in the Drâa Valley.

The young girls involved in this project of recording and listening to water and telling their stories of the climate crisis the area are also performers. When the auditorium opens during the winter festival of Zamane, they will both participate in festivities of music and dance and also be acknowledged for their studies and field research learning about water and the climate crisis in this area. Joudour Sahara Music Program and Sound Health Habitat will announce the beginning of a scholarship to help support continued studies for young nomad climate activists in the Sahara desert.
