We took a walk through the Lange Erlen…

It’s a regular Sunday at the No Border Café, in Lange Erlen, the beautiful forest-park on the Swiss border to Germany. Groups of young people, mostly asylum seekers from the adjacent refugee camp, and mostly male, are gathering here to socialize, have a cup of tea together, play a game or sit around the fire for shared moments.

How does one cope with displacement? With the uncertainty of space-time, when one is stuck in a transitional space where movement has no meaning anymore? How long would they still inhabit the absence?

Here at the No Border Café there is coffee and tea for everybody but most importantly, there is music-making.
