At the wedding banquet in the afternoon, we saw the elderly’s singing were quickly overshadowed by the pop music of “wedding playlist” as long as they picked up the microphone in the corner to sing Baishi, or stand together to sing Baishi. We realized that the young generation doesn’t enjoy Baishi when one of them asked me: “Can you go other place to record it?” However, we didn’t ask the elderly to sing anything, the fact is that we only started recording when we hear their singing. 

That evening, we were drawn to the duets of two old men sitting in a corner, drinking and singing back and forth to each other, as if in conversation. The man on the left was wearing a Lisu coat and decided to learn traditional Lisu tunes from the village master when he was in his fifties. He has now been learning for 6 years and has learned many songs. He has also learned to play the Lisu musical instrument Qiben (guitar). His voice is so clear and bright. The man on the right is the couple's grandfather; for us, his singing is full of passion and he didn't want to stop even though his throat was already hoarse.
