We Should Not Forget

We don’t remember,
The traditions of the Penan, 
Together we go camp in the forest.
In the past the forest had good times,
In the past it was very good,
Life in the forest with good times, 
Follow our grandparents in the past. 
Change came to the past,
We met the hard times,
No company brought with them happiness. 
The forest had a good time in the past, 
All of it knew no problems,
It didn’t have change or pain.
Every time Penan said ‘No’,
